The Dynamics of Abuse
Facilitator Training

What you’ll be trained to deliver

You’ll be trained to deliver The Dynamics of Abuse as a ten-session live programme for groups.

Sessions 1–5 cover core patterns and dynamics of abuse; Sessions 6–10 apply the same framework across relevant settings and situations.

Each session follows a consistent flow: recognise the pattern, understand what drives it, explore impact, and practise healthier alternatives—so delivery stays focused and safe.

The structure is fixed and examples can be tailored to your setting.

“This course opened my eyes to exactly what I had been through and allowed me to begin my journey of recovery.” — TDoA Participant

Facilitator Training

Equips you to deliver The Dynamics of Abuse curriculum live in a group setting. It focuses on how to facilitate sensitive content well: structure, pacing, group agreements, language, and handling difficult moments.

Is it for you?

This training is a good fit if you:

  • Facilitate group learning (or want to) with people you support in a service, community, or organisational setting.
  • See abusive dynamics showing up in the lives of the people you work with.
  • Want a structured approach that stays focused and does not become disclosure-led.
  • Want a proven structure and materials you can deliver straight away.
  • Need something you can deliver more than once, consistently.

“My life was chaotic and I was losing control on a regular basis which made me impossible to be around. This course has helped me to like myself again. It has taught me so much around the subject of abuse that I now feel confident talking to others about my experiences.”

  • Use a repeatable session flow that keeps learning practical and contained.
  • Adapt structured examples to your setting while keeping the core structure intact.
